Weather: Hot and sunny

Distance Covered:

Patchy wind coming over the dam wall. Bee (103 L) noticebly slower to get planing with 6.7m than other boards such as Naish TItan (106 L) with 6.0m. Soon filled in though, to give well powered planing. Perfect for gybing as completely flat water downwind of dam.

Gybing was reliable on the Bee; pulling down on the boom to change feet seems to make things smoother - prevoiusly I would have fallen in a lot with this board. Made 1 fully planing exit - need more practice with this board and sail (and with smaller sails) - usually I am using 8.2m. Was getting backwinded - could have been the gusty wind? Concentrate on keeping low, weight on back foot with rig forward and looking out of turn during foot change and rig flip.

Second session later on after wind had dropped off a little with Tiga 271 and 8.2m.

Glorious weather, shorty wetsuit, easy blasting, an excellent summer session.
